GC Audio is a French designer and manufacturer of professional analogue audio equipment, founded by electronics engineer and sound engineer Guillaume Chauvet. With more than 15 years of experience in analogue electronics and audio signal processing, Guillaume approaches product design from both a technical and a musical perspective: how a circuit measures, how it behaves with real-world signals, and ultimately how it feels when working with music. GC Audio was created with a simple idea: to design analogue tools that bring something genuinely useful to sound engineers, rather than simply reproducing circuits from the past. Every product is developed around extensive listening, measurement and real-world use, with particular attention paid to noise, headroom, transient response, ergonomics and reliability. This approach has led GC Audio to develop original technologies such as the Inherit System, a modular analogue platform based around interchangeable preamp cartridges, as well as digitally controlled analogue products combining traditional audio circuitry with modern recall and workflow capabilities. Despite the technology involved, the objective remains simple. A GC Audio product should serve the music and remain intuitive to use. The sound we look for can be described in three words that have guided the company since its beginning: Realism, Density and Proximity. GC Audio products are developed in close contact with recording engineers, producers and live sound professionals. Their feedback is an important part of the design process and helps us continuously refine both existing products and new ideas. Our aim is not to impose a sound, but to give engineers analogue tools that help them get closer to the sound they have in mind.
